I looked at a case 1070 this weekend. The tractor has about 6000 hrs. good overall cond., tires 50%, has cab everything works, have option to buy duals. What should I expect to pay for this tractor? Is there any flaws or things to look out for in this model. what is the h.p., and are parts a problem . Thanks in advance

My dad bought a 1070 new in 1978, it was our big tractor getting used every day for 15 years. It went from the manure speader to the feed grinder to the plow or chopper depending on time of year. 7000 hours it was time for an overhaul, no major repairs were ever needed, good tractor.

1070 has 110 stock but ours is 140 turned and has turbo. if it has powershift make sure each ps works and don't slip if it slips don't get it. other than that they are a great tractor. I love ours. Ours is the 1070 Black Knight Demonstrator. we use it quite a bit needs an o\h but thats gonnna be awhile. Good Luck.

I have never owned one but I have been told by a lot of people that the 1070 was a good tractor. Up here in Ontario I have seen them go for around $10,000 Canadian
.

A real workhorse. The book listing on HP is 108, but most guys say they run higher. I would say 4500 to 6500 as described. At least thats what they go for here in Michigan. I had a new 1070 in 1975 , a great tractor wish I had it back.
