My 1030 has had the heads and valves done. the injectors power cells were cleaned and checked. when it starts it misses until it gets warm then it runs fine until you rev it up then it starts to miss again. There is no cracked sleeve either. Does anyone have any idea what it could be. Could it be a bad power cell or do I have to get a fuel pump and if so does anybody have any power cells to buy. Thanks for any info.

First I would loosen the injector lines one at a time to determine which cylinder is missing. Then I would recheck the valve clearances for that cylinder and if nothing is wrong then take the injector out and have it checked. Maybe a stuck, dirty or damaged tip. Next suspect would be a leaky valve (bad valve job). I got a Detroit head back one time that wouldn't even start because the valves leaked so bad and it was taken to the largest machine in the state.

Just came out from under the parachute after removing carbon & cleaning the power cells, reinstalled. I replaced all rubbers on all fuel lines, removing injectors & cleaned tip. When it is cold & I start it up--#1 cylinder takes quite a while to go again. Should I try to relap power cell # 1 or do you have a new set for a reasonable price. Please let me know.

Thanks
