I have a 1985 Case 1194 with a front loader. my problem is that the loader will not raise when the tractor is tilted towards the front. The trans is full and the filter was changed recently. It works just fine when level or tilted back. Is there a pickup for the pump that runs dry when tilted? I can put the front tires in a ditch that is only a foot deep and the loader struggles. This is with a throttle setting of 1500 rpm. Thanks in advance Scoutski

There is a hydraulic filter light on that tractor and the manifold for the switch is under the pto housing. If the pto housing is removed and the manifold/switch assembly is not removed first the manifold end that is in the suction line at the pump will be sheared off. This will allow air to be sucked in while on a slope forward.

My dash lights have never worked. This tractor was used to clean chicken houses before I got it. Thus, all the dash circuitry is corroded.
I will check out the manifold under the PTO cover as you suggested.

Thanks for the help

try running your trans a little above the full line. As you probably know, the pump is all the way in the rear. I don't have an 1194, but I had a tractor similar stuck once and needed the front loader to help me out. I had to keep adding fluid until it would work.
