Was having trouble with the hydraulics on my '66 430 turns out the pickup tube screen was plugged and the relief ball was scored. Took care of those things and ran a pressure test pressure is 1200 psi specs say can go to 1500 psi what I am wanting to know is would it be worth the trouble to take the thing apart to adjust the relief.Any idea what the lift increase would be. It will easily lift a 5' round bale, don't know what one weighs. One other thing the pickup tube was covered with what looked like those strips that open cigarette packs. Red cellophane looking stuff about 1/8" wide any idea what it could be?

Multiply Diameter x Diameter x .7854 = Area of cylinder. Multiply area of cylinder x P.S.I.(Hydraulic pressure). That will give you output force of the cylinder. If you have more than one cylinder.Multiply the output force by the number of cylinders you have. Example:Lets say I have two 3 inch diameter cylinders, and i am getting 1200 P.S.I.hydraulic pressure. That would be 3x3x.7854=7.0686(area). Then I take the aera and multiply that by P.S.I..7.0686x1200=8482.32lbs force. then take lbs.force and multiply by number of cylinders.8482.32x2=16964.64lbs.force total. If you give me size and number of cylinders.I can figure it out for you.

The strip looking stuff may be shreds of an old poly tarp. A mouse may have made a nest and it got in your tractor somehow?
