Hi Randy, To answer your question about the crank handle storage- There is a sheet metal tab below the channel for the seat pan, but this is just part of what holds the crank. There is a wire spring clip (#05945AB-spring) mounted above the sheet metal tab (#07148AB-bracket), and the crank clips between the tab and the spring. There's an illustration in Peter Letorneau's Classic Case Tractors book that shows this- but I can't remember if you can see the clip in the drawing or not. I had my tractor for over 15 years before I knew that this is where the crank stored! It was the illustration in that book that led to the A-HA! experience. Luckily, I had kept the crank safe all those years and was able to snap it back into place on the tractor. I have no idea about your choke question, as my knobs have long since been replaced. I do know that on the earlier tractors- a knob wasn't used- it was just a metal choke linkage rod that ran through the hole in the dashboard. That's why the choke shaft on the carburetor has those large holes in the cast iron lever. Good luck, -Schotte
