Hey Elmer - Would there be any problem removing my steering wheel in order to paint it? I've been blasting the shaft with WD40 for several days and she still won't budge. Don't want to force it if it could be damaged. Thanks.

Throw away the WD40 and get some PB blaster penetrating oil. It is the best I have found.

It is on a tapered shaft with a keyway. I use a split base plate under the steering wheel and then bolt a puller to it. If you want a picture of my puller set, email me and i will send it to you.
