I am an FFA member who restores tractors and my recent project is a 1949 Case DC tractor. I've been lucky so far, but my oil filter cup is rusted all the way through, and it leaks pretty good. I've puttyed it up enough to run it, but a new filter cup costs nearly 55.00 dollars. After spending 550 dollars on new rubber, I'm wondering if any of you Case people have a cheap one for scrap. One from an SC, or a V series or anohter D
series ought to work, please get back to me.

You can just bypass the filter all together on some of the older dc tractors there never was a filter. the. all you have to do is make up a piece of line to put in where you take the filter out.

I have thought of this, but to win the contest, I need to be as original a possible in the restoration. 10,000 dollars is up for grabs. Thanks.Martin
