Here is a link for a 1370 for sale in South Central Kansas ($4995.00). We have bought parts, etc. from this guy before and have been very satisfied. But buyer beware of course.

we have a 1070 powershift 140 hp turned up turboed great tractor. you can get the 1070s and other 70s series as a powershift or a standard 8sp. somepeople like the powershift better others hate it. depends on what you like and how well you take care of them. Case tractors are great machines.

You got 140hp out of a 1070, that scares me. Too much horse for the rearend. Why didn't you just get a 1270 or 1370? Wasn't it a hassle fitting the turbo on it or did you use the parts off a 1270 engine? Just curious.

You can buy those tractors all day down here in Arkansas between $4000.00 and $6000. Anything from a 1070, 1090, 1170, 1175, or 1270 would work for you. I think my uncle still has his 1090. I'll see if he wants to sell it. I'll bet he hasn't used it 100 hours in the past 3 years.

A Case 1070 is 108hp, 1270 is 127hp or 135hp depending on year. Both will have a 4 range with 3 powershift tranny, giving 12 forward and 3 reverse gears (no reverse in 4th). A nice one can be bought for between $6000 and $12000. We just bought a 1270 with 1800hrs at auction for $7900. By the way, it is about time you got off the Deere is best kick! Welcome to the Case Club! Ha ha.

I live in northern Indiana, about 15 mins from Notre Dame, go Irish! The auction was in Milford Ill. The auction company, Mowrey Auction has their own website. It is mowreyauction.com. The 1270 was from a neighboring farmer to the auction which is all flat black dirt. It was not worked hard and the old guy only had 350 acres. They usually sell really nice tractors there so you might want to check them out.
