I have a early 70's loader landscaper and am having trouble figuring out the settings on the 3 point lift. I understand the fast and slow knob just below the seat on the right side. but the selector knob that is behind the seat i am not sure about. i have been putting the up/down control in the select position then changing the selector knob, but cant seem to get consistant control out of the 3 point in the differnt setting. the decals are illegible so they are no help. Does anybody have one of these that can at least give me a clue to work with. i basically want to use a brush hog, box blade, and post hole auger.

thanks in advance for any help

If you are facing the selector dial, the left position is DEPTH (DRAFT) CONTROL, themiddle is HEIGHT (POSITION) CONTROL, and the right is TRACTION CONTROL (for implements which have gage wheels, this allows more implement weight to be borne by the tractor and increases rear wheel traction). This came from the shop manual. Good luck, Jim
