I have been pricing the operator and repair manual for my tractor. I called my local case dealer and they have the operator manual for $25 and the repair for $50. Thru a couple sites on the internet i have found the repair manual for $75, but it has 616 pages. i called the case dealer back to see how many pages are in the repair manual they offer and they didnt know. And they wont order it unless i pay for it first. i am wanting to purchase the best manual for the $, so any insight would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Dennis

I can fix you up with manuals. They are copied from original David Brown publications. I have the shop manual for the 885, parts book for the 380 and an operators manual for the 885.

hey Elmer,

Does you manual also cover the front loader? How much do you ask for your manuals?

Your Case 380 CK is really a DAVID BROWN 885 industrial. I also have one. I got the I&T Shop Service manual C-203. It covers about 20 of these CASE/David Brown Tractors and it costs about $25 from Primediabooks.com . My Case Dealer got me the Operator's Manual for about $18-20 and it's worth the price. You can also try ELMER (who has many follow-ups posted in this forum). He is an excellent David Brown expert and has the manuals and some parts. GOOD LUCK ,Jim

I have seven Case tractors, 3 dozers 2 farm tractors 1 Backhoe/loader,and 1 lawn tractor.I would buy nothing but Case manuals unless I absolutely had to,they are the best you can get.The detail is great, good discriptions of how the repair is done and far more information than any aftermarket manual.A bit pricey but worth every penney,go with the Case manuals if you can afford them you wont regret it.
Good Luck Terrance

Dennis,

My experiance as proven that the best manual for the money will come from a Case dealer. They have all the information. The other manuals are photo copies of a Case manual. You might find a dealer that won't make you pay for it before they order it or use a credit card so that you have recourse if they din't supply.
