Can anyone help me identify this light?

It's a 7" flat lens Guide Light, and it's painted either a faded red or orange.

The mounting bracket is flat and fan-shaped, and has the number "B1261B" cast into it. The lens has the 1/4" grooves and has "GUIDE TRACTOR LENS 922405" cast into the glass.

There appears to have been an on/off switch located on the underside of the light housing.

A link to some photos of the light is listed below:

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards, -Schotte

The light is off a Cochshutt/Oliver s "before" 1947. The mount is for a 70. The light itself was used on Case,M.M. and Olivers. A very popular light assmembly used up to the end of WW2.

Thank you for the info, Don.

Just out of curiousity... how did you know what model this came from? Personal experience, or do you have some original manufacturer info from Guide?

Do you happen to know what Case models used this style light- and if so, what mounting bracket I would need to find for the Case application?

Thanks again, -Schotte

They where used on L, C and R, the D and LA. Sorry, but not on S or SC[ hard to figure]. Your light has a Oliver 70 row crop mount, seen many of those thru out the years.
