Haven't seen any photos of this size before-

Somebody needs to give it a good home.

Hey Mike; I've had one of these in the back corner of my shop for 14 years. It's complete, but needs total restoration. Just never enough time and money. The last restoration, an "SC" took 8 years. John

John,

I saw a 10-18 up close and personal at an auction earlier this year, but I've never seen an 18-32 (or any of the other crossmotors) other than in photographs.

My favorite crossmotor model is probably the 12-20. In my opinion, it's got the best looking wheels- I love that offset 4 spoke front wheel.

I know what you mean about finding time & money to work on stuff. I personally need to concentrate on building a shop first and my project tractors second. Having a place to work has got to be at least half the battle!

I'd be interested in hearing more about your restored SC- please send me a picture if you've got one.

Mike; Ditto on what you say about shops. Mine is an old service station built back in the 40's with an addition built in the 50's that has a 12' door. It's really unhandy compared to these new Morton's you see. I published a story on the "SC" in the Fall '99 issue of "The Heritage Eagle". Have you got that copy? Actually it's a lengthy article about my Dad's CASE dealership with lots of pictures, including a story and pictures of the SC. Let me know if you have that issue. John

Hey John,

If your shop is one of those old service stations with the porcelain exterior panels then I'd be really jealous... always loved those things. It's a very good thing I *don't* have one- as I couldn't afford to start collecting gas pumps, too. (grin)

No- I've never seen the article on your SC tractor. If J.I.C.C.A. publishes "Old Abe's News", then where do you get "The Heritage Eagle" from?

Can you even order back issues from '99?

Thanks, -Schotte

Mike: NO, no porcelin. My shop is cinder block, not even concrete block. Nothing to be jealous of. I have sold some old goodies though. I still have a large "ATLANTIC" sign to sell. I turned down $350. The Heritage Eagle" is published quarterly by the J.I.CASE Heritage Foundation. To join, send a check for $25.00 to; J.I.CASE Heritage Foundation P.O. Box 081156 Racine, WI 53408-1156 Back issues are available for $6.00 for members. If you promise to send mine back, I'll let you borrow my Fall 1999 issue. Talk to you later, I'm going back over to the bashing board & see if I stirred JD up. John.
