Been working on this old rust bucket the last few days, and having a great time doing it. It had a hay fork on it when aquired. I finished building a bucket for it today. Several guys here responded to a post about steering linkage. My father needed a project last weekend, so with a few parts from a wrecking yard built a new draglink. The rear lift does not move at all. Someone (John Saeli?) mentioned that the hydraulics for the rear lift could be "locked out" or something. Any idea how to unlock it?

There are a couple photos loaded on the photo page if anyone wants to look.

Hi, (this is from memory so good luck) The hydraulics can be turned off with a push-pull valve on top torque tube. Its near the arch of the bellhousing. Did you get any of the power steering parts? Is the steering pump still on the engine? Dennis..... .

Thanks Dennis,

I'll look for that valve. Haven't looked for the power steering parts yet. The pump is still on the engine. Its one of the gear driven type, on the right side.

Mike

Hi, That pump has the resevoir attached with filter inside. Hopefully they keep it full of oil and have a circulating hose connected. The steering parts are hard to find. Dennis....

on my 210-B wit front end loader I removed all the origional stearing parts, intalled a hydraulic cylinder in place of the origional added a stearing control valve. Now I have total hydraulic stearing without a drag link and no more problems. the pump from a 580-c will also fit

Well, I guess someone didn't like it. One of the two pictures has been removed. Maybe there is a one pic per poster limit.
