Can anybody give me info on this problem? After it is warm and under load the clutch doesnt seem to want to engage.I can force it by pushing in on the foot clutch and reving the motor than letting the clutch out.I do know that my clutch presure isnt as hi as it is supose to be. putting it into direct drive doesnt seem to help.

you probably have some dirt in the valve body of the clutch stopping a valve from closing all the way and it may have damaged the valve as mine did. easily fixed though at a machine shop the valve that is. the body is easy to take off and you can make your own gasket as gasket paper is readily available at all auto supply stores. the fluid seeps past valve super heating the oil till it has no viscocity.this is easiest fix first. then look for seepage happening in pump if problem persists. my 1959 600 case had the same problem and i asked around a lot and this is what i was told to do. im in process of getting valve machined now as it had a small cut on it from metal stuck in the clutch converter. i hope this fixes it as getting at the pump does not look easy at all. im just a hobby farmer who cant afford to have a mechanic work on my tractor. my next job is i think a blown rod bearing. the fun of owning an old tractor.

Thanks for your suggestions robert & good luck with that rod. I will wait till spring before I work on it when the weather is better.
