Does anyone have a breakdown of the impulse coupling to show the parts inside so I can tell why it doesn't lock and trip. Mine appears to have the spring broke and it seams to turn too freely. It does have spark.

If the spring is broken the impulse coupling wont lock cause the outer shell unlocks the pawl before it can lock. what model mag.

Klyde,

I've got two different types of the 4JMA Case mag. One has a plastic coil cover and a wound wire type impulse.

The other has a metal coil cover and a much stronger (not exposed) type of impulse spring.

The one I've got with the wire spring needs the impulse repaired... but I haven't disassembled it yet so see what's broken.
