Can I put a high compression head on a DC that has oversize pistons that come flush with the top of the sleeve?

I know of a guy who had a gas DC with a propane head and oversize pistons and it did have more power. The problem he had was he used it for some hard farm work and he broke a piston. Pulling in a tractor pull probably won't cause trouble because it doesn't pull hard for long enough time to create any heat buildup.

Hey ,i took 150 off my LP head, and used a custom copper gasket. That really juiced up the DC.
I can pull 5mph in 2nd gear 4000 # antique class,
Have fun!

Yes, no problem at all. Take .100 off the head first and it will run even better. It's a Case theres plenty of meat there. Not like some of them lighter cheaper made other color tractors of the time..
