Dowd, whose father was a case dealer snce 1916 bought the Model X motor car about two years ago. J.I. Case which is now an implement company, made automobiles between 1910 and 1927. The car, which is of the open touring class, was found in southeastern Oklahoma. A friend traveling in southern Oklahoma found the old automobile and Dowd bought it from a case dealer who drove it daily. The Case has a six-cylinder aluminum motor and "just runs perfectly" Dowd said it has an electric starter and a hand crank - for security. "It needs new paint, top and upolstery, but there's not a dent in it." Bob Dowd was my wifes father, all that she remembers about the car is that when they drove it in a parade, it started to rain and the roof leaked.
