I have a case 1070 with about 8600 hours on it the powersift always worked fine until one day I got in the tractor and it didnt work. First range in the powershift still works excellent but when you put it in 2nd or 3rd the tractor wont move I changed the oil/filters but it didnt help this all happened shortly after the hyd. pump quit working. Has anyone ever heard of this and how it is fixed? Both my 1070's are good tractors but is this problem worth fixing? I also checked all the linkages and they are all ok What else do I look for? Thanks

If you use it to pull heavily I might suggust updating to larger bolts. I believe the originals are 3/8 and the updates are 1/2. It is an easy change and is done to alot of the 1270, 1370, and 1570's. Just have to do some drilling and tapping.

Likely the bolts broken. Not that hard to fix if you're capable of splitting the tractor and have a manual.

Does your 3 point lift slow or not at all at idle in 2nd and 3rd powershift gears and in 8 seconds in 1st and with clutch pedal down? If so, most or all of the 3/8 bolts that hold c-2,c-3 clutch pack together broke or the distributer hub bearing at the rear of the powershift failed.
