In general can someone please tell me whats involved with replacing the clutch. I've got it adjusted all the way out and it's gradually needing a lower and lower gear to do any pulling at all. 69' 580 TLB ,188 diesel manual trans and manual shuttle. Thanks , Redd.

Just split the tractor and replace the clutch. Just be sure that you block the front axle before splitting. I used to just remove the backhoe and pull the tractor towards the rear witht he loader bucket securely on the ground. Others prefered to do it the other way so the best way is whatever way you feel safest with.

Thanks guys , looks like I'll probably have to wait till this fall after harvest before I can get to it. Might just go through the motor while i'm at it...so I got some reading to do. Redd
