My Case 448 runs good but,as soon as I go up a grade it starts to stall.I had it to the repair shop and they can't seem to find anything wrong. I am very disappointed in the Case.I always dreamed of owning this lawn tractor but now I am ready to get rid of it.

I have the same tractor (case 448) that needs to be tuned and fired up.Does anyone know the estimated value of this tractor with deck once I get it running?Average condition I guess.

Ray

Depending how its stalling out, you may also check the fuel float level in the carb. Has it been tuned up lately? It may be in need of new plugs and timing check.

Does it just quit outright, or start to lean out and eventually die. The fuel pump diaphram (in the carburetor) may be drying up or leaking on you.

I was doing some research and came across this forum. I have the same tractor doing the same thing...I was wondering if you found out what was causing it.

Thank you.
