Posted a few days ago about a 1410 that had fuel to the injector, but would not start. Found the problem, moon key in pump drive failed, split the end of the pump drive shaft (ouch).

A John Deere dealer would say "NEVER SAW THAT BEFORE". But in reality i have to say that too. Have never seen the pump drive key shear in one of them before. Was your nut tight enough?

Nut was tight, had been on 400-500 hrs. I'm thinking that the drain pipe might have been stopped up and the cam box pressurized??? Like you, I never even heard of it before. I'll keep you posted what the pump shop finds. Now Elmer, you know it's bad luck to compare a quality Case to a old Deere :).

I see that you howdies are still trying to convince yourselves and each other that that junk you are driving or pushing or pulling whatever, is viable farm machinery. BTW, what is a 1410 anyway? a Case or a IH or a New Holland or a, or a, or a etc
