A Friend of mine and I were cultivating a field
with a light chiselplow (35 shanks, 21´wide with
2,5" spikes") with my Farmall 1568 and it was going pretty good even though we made it pull about 90 percent of its capabilities at 6,5 mph.
Then we hook up my Case 1030 which is 50 hp smaller but my friend doubted that it would pull it, but it did. First in 4th low range then in
1st high range doing 5 mph. But it needs a set
of duals even with 23,1X30 it would spin the wheels pretty easy. I am absolutely impressed with
my Case.
What are your opinions ? From this there is no
doubt "NOTHING BEATS A CASE"

Best wishes, Jens Andersen Denmark

Jens,
I am afraid you have discovered the secret about old Case tractors-they were under rated on Horsepower. My 1070 needed a PTO clutch last year and the mechanic who did the work put it on his dynomometer to adjust the PTO. He could not believe it-130 HP from a tractor with over 11,000 hours on it and the seals on the fuel pump still intact! By the way my daughter just visited Denmark for a couple of days on a trip with her college friends from Norway. She absolutely loved every minute of the trip and your country!
Good Luck, Don Rudolph

You forgot to mention that a 1070 was only rated 108 horse from the factory.
