Regulator, Dynamo/generator, and heavy wires to same burnt out.
I have removed the wiring loom and stripped /peeled away the melted wires, I ahave new dynamo and regulator but have mislaid my diagram showing the regulator connections.
The regulator is a two pole version and terminal idents are 'D' Large term, 'E' small, 'A' large, 'F' small. Any information or at best a wiring diagram would be greatly appreciated.

The A is the armature connection (large bolt) on the generator, The F is the field trminal on the generator. That's the easy ones. D must be the battery, and e maybe "earth". Check if the e connection is just to the frame.
