Has been sitting for a few years and the clutch and pto would not disengage. Just about took out the machine shop wall when it snapped into gear before I realized, smoked the clutch brake too. Backed off both a notch, now clutch OK but PTO still won't stop. Was told clutch was OK before, PTO unknown. Is this from sitting so long? Is it likely to clear up or more serious? Thanks.

Most of the PTO clutches will not come to a complete stop on their own. If they are set up so they will not slip under load the brake (if it has one at all) will not stop it. You can stop the engine and hook up something that has some drag to it, and then start the engine again. The older 930's had no PTO brake at all. Good Luck

That's right John. No PTO brake on the STD models. I just used most of the parts from one in my 54 DC.
