I'VE REBUILT MY ZENITH CARB ON A 43 SC, AND NOW IT WILL ONLY RUN WITH THE CHOKE A LITTLE MORE THAN HALF WAY CLOSED. THE CARB HAD LOTS OF RUST IN IT, AND I HAD TO REPLACE ALL JETS. I,VE TRIED ADJUSTING IT EVERY WAY I KNOW HOW. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Make sure you have the rubber tube that connects the carb to the air breather installed and that the oil bath is filled with oil. I had the same problem until I installed that rubber tube- now it runs great.

MikeS, Do a search on the Case board using "crispin carb" and look at the post "SC carb tip" 12/4/01. You'll see what happened to me...

THE JETS WERE NEW OLD STOCK FROM A LOCAL TRACTOR REPAIR SHOP.

Oops- forgot to ask:

Did you check or adjust the float level when you rebuilt the carburetor?

Are you sure that you don't have a pinhole in the float causing it to flood?

I DID CHECK THE FLOAT LEVEL, IT WAS OK. ALSO CHECKED FOR PIN HOLES OK AS WELL.
