Dad had a sale yesterday. I got to buy the old 46 vac he bought in 54. It was in a pile (actualy the exploded view) for detailed inspection of all parts. My brothers and I had rounded up all the parts we could find and put them in a pile and I outbid a junk man for it. right proud of myself in fact. I explained to my dear sweet wife that just the seriel tag was worth what I paid for the whole (almost) tractor. I bought it for sentimental reasons only and hope to undergo the long process of restoring what must be close to a record # of operating hours for any one piece of equipment. I hope to drive it in a parade someday. It'll be a while though. Have a good one,

Wheat Straw

Good for you, Wheat Straw. When I started asking questions about my VAC before I bought it a couple years ago, you were one of the first ones to respond and with useful advice. I haven't forgotten that and I appreciate it.
Best of luck on your project.

thanks les,

Most of my vac "knowledge" came from placing the seat of my blue jeans in the steel pan seat of this 46 vac. I learned to realy appreciate these little guys. neat little tractors.

My favorite is the Auctioneer that says:
"It ran the last time he used it..."

Well DUH!
