The main 'special tool' you need are the splitting pins. They are 3/4 inch rods, 13 and 13/16 inches long (can be a bit longer) with holes bored though at the ends to take large split pins.

Undo bolts at 3 and 9 oclock positions between engine and transmission, insert pins, undo pipes, control rods etc. Jack under transmission and rolling jack under engine.

Should come apart easily.

Starting with the basics you need a cement floor, a decent floor jack and some blocks. Support the front of the trans with some blocks, Cut a couple of wedge shaped ones or whatever you need to jam between the engine and front axle so the engine won't tip. The rods mentioned in the other post are a good Idea and handy but not strictly necessary. Place the floor jack under the rear of the engine. It may be easiest to place a block between the radius rods and the engine and jack on the radius rods. Go careful and it's not that hard!
