Please notice in the pictures that there is a stripe of chrome trim on the engine cover along each side of this tractor. Of all of the restored tractor pictures of Case VAC's (and I'm not implying that this is a VAC) none have the chrome trim. Can anyone identify the model of Case I have. I do not have a serial number tag. It was lost years ago. I've got a real puzzel on my hands and all printed information and internet web sites on Case do not give me hint. Some of you will recognize that these pictures came around about 1-1/2 months ago. Maybe new eyes can shed light. --John P. Martine

It's a VC not a VAC. A VC is what they made before the VAC and had a continental engine and a clark transmission.

I have a Case "V", has the Continental engine and Clark transmission and the biggest diff you will ever see on a tractor that small.Standard front axle tractor. About 2300 m/l made.Mine is a 1941.

id hang on to it if i were you. theyre pretty desireable where i come from. sheet metal is impossible to find and look really good once theyre fixed up. take care of it. if it becomes a bit of a burden for you id be glad to negotiate something in exchange. id trade my restored VAC for a rusty old VC anyday!(tee hee)

good luck!
