I have 441 gas tractor and when I lower the 3pt hitch with an implement attached (and after I've been running for a while) hydraulic oil flows from the breather cap located beneath the drivers seat. The oil is clear, without foaming. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess is that the 3 point hydraulic cylinder is leaking into the rear gear case. The oil is spewing out the breather because it's way too full as a resulting of the fluid transfer when using the 3 pt. system. Check the dipstick. If too much fluid exists, then you'll need to fix the cylinder. At the same time, your hydraulic fluid should be low. Check that as well.

As a short term solution, partially drain the rear gear case.

Good luck,

Don
