I'd go with the old 1070 Case. Mostly because there is so many farmers that still use them.

Doesn't anyone know how many were produced?

In my search for Case dealers I interview as many who still survive as possible. The overwhelming favorite among dealers is the big 400. Ninety percent is quite an impressive display of affection for one model. My theory is that it finally gave dealers a modern tractor to compete with other brands and that it was a very good tractor as well. My personal favorite is the 500 with that smooth as glass diesel that pulls harder as it loses RPM's.

the 500d has my vote and i know i can get many more for this model. It must have been pretty impressive to have one back in her time.

I agree. The 1070 Agri-King was the greatest Case farm tractor. It has the best cab of its time and was rugged and reliable and had lots of power. And this from a JD guy.

Yeah, we use 3 of them, really great tractors! Also think the 1270's we have are just as good or better due to the turbo on them, they just love to pull hard! Actually, any of the 70's were probably good tractors.

My book shows that 24,303 1070's were built.
