I have a case 444 L/G tractor, along with the original manuals and various repair manuals (from Ingersoll) for it. The problem I am having is after using it for a while and the unit getting hot, it looses power in forward. When I put it in reverse the power returns. Looking into the hydraulic system manual I see the transaxle motor is controlled by the travel control valve. Can anyone advise if this is the problem or do I need to look elsewhere? If this is the poblem where can I find a replacement part or kit? Thanks..... Bob

The first question to ask is why is it getting hot? Is the oil cooler unobstructed to allow free air flow? Correct oil? Correct oil level? Brake dragging causing the oil to heat? Fins on the plastic fan not broken off? The problem could be something serious but these things would be an easy fix if thats where the problem is. Hope this helps.
