I recently saw what I beleive was a CC Case 1938
model witha wide front end. Did Case build a wide front on these tractors or has this been added? I don't recall seeing one before.

Yes they built CCs with wide fronts. They're called CC4s.

I've heard of adjustable wide front ends on CC4s but have yet to see one.

The CC4 is hard to tell from the C....unless you know what to look for. The first CC4 I saw I thought the dude didn't know that he really had a C, until I noticed the fenders and tires were taller and narrower and it had turning brakes.

Yes, Case had an adjustable front end for the CC's. Not sure how many came from the factory that way. There are also some CC's around with custom built fronts. Would have to see pictures of the unit you are looking at to possibly tell which it is.

Thanks for the information. The owner who is trying to sell this tractor isn't sure whether
it is original or not and I had never seen one like it, Thanks again.
