Can you advise us on how the track is tightened on the front wheel. We see the pushing adjustment cylinder but notice the only access to the unit is a 1/2" pipe plug on the rear.
Is this the connection for a separate pump to do the adjusting?????

Where can I find an owners manual for my case 850 dozer? How do I change the transmission fluid? and What alternator is recommended for this dozer?

Hi John,
I thought that pipe plug was much bigger...but anyway, take it out, there should be a grease fitting under it, pump it up with that. Your track should have a little sag in it...I think a little over an inch sag between the top roller and front idler. If the tracks get too tight, loosen the check valve (hex shaped thing the zerk screws into)

There will be a grease zerk under the plug, pump grease in untill the track is the correct tension.
