On your SC case 3point conversion, did you have to remove the drawbar? I am hoping to find a way to keep the drawbar and have the 3point too.

Thanks

- Dave

The drawbar on my 43 SC is adjustable- so if yours is made the same way and is in the extended position- it can be shortened. When using my motor lift bail with a chain through the holes, the chain will not interfere with the drawbar as the bail arms go up and down.

I am now adding live hydraulics to my SC- the next step will be to use a hydraulic cylinder to raise and lower the lifting bail and to weld extensions onto the the bail "arms" to widen them to 28"- which I think is standard for cat 1. One of the arms will have a bolt on bracket that will have to be removed and installed each time a new implement is connected to the lower arms. That is my plan anyway- and I plan to leave my drawbar in place.

If I get it working I'll post pics.

Bob, if your draw bar can be retracted, then you can setup your 3 point like Mike has setup. He has some pictures.

Dave-

They drawbar was already missing in action when we got the tractor in '84. My Dad welded a second toplink connection point onto the drawbar support for use with a box blade.

That's pretty non-removable. I just got replacement drawbar, support & lifting bail a few months ago in case I ever want to go back to original.

That drawbar is a BEAST. Much heavier than it looks.

To answer your question- the arm extension on the lifting bail would probably clear the drawbar if it had been left in place.

Mike.

On my dc, if I run a bar between the holes of the lifting bail it would hit the draw bar. Oh well - time to creative.

Thanks again! :)

Good point- I forgot about the "connecting" bar I have to hold the lift arm extensions onto the bail arms.

Let me know what you come up with.
