Bought a 1030 this weekend, my second. This is a western with nice wide rears, 24.1 x 30. right is usable, left tire is very bad and rim is rusting through center, leaks.

1 Can I find a rim that goes on tractor that will say let me use 38 inch tires? Lots of them around.

2 How hard, expensive, will a 30 inch set cost? Are they availible new?

3 I expect that salvage tires/rims will be dissapointing.

thanks

I'm not absolutely sure a 1030 is the same as a 930 but I used to change the wheels at the axle hub to outer casting every summer. Used the 23.1 X 30 for heavy pulling and 18.4 X 34 for row crop work. I assume 38" casting and wheels were made for them also.
