Bear with me here, when I was a little squirt, (about 30 yrs ago) My dad had a 930 that he put an aftermarket turbo on, and it started eating cams, about 3 if I remember right. Now I know that this isn't alot of info but I got to wondering, why was it doing this? This was only used in the fields, it wasn't a puller.

Thanks

We had a 1963 930 CK with a foot clutch that broke the cam in about 1980. It had a million hours on it. We changed the cam bearings along with the cam and never had the problem again. I would imagine the turbo put just enough more pressure on the cam that if the cam bearings were bad the cam would flex with every turn and could do nothing but self distruct. Hope this geves you peace of mind.
