HI all,

I have a case 310c Crawler loader. I am burning a lot of oil (fowling plug as soon as started) on the number three cyl.

Any thoughts, based on experience, of cause. And any suggested repairs.

I am guessing it's got to be either valve or ring related. Any quick diagnostic tips which I can use to narrow down. Never pulled a head before but does not look too dificult to do.

Thanks for you help,
Joel

yeesh.

umm... i think it may be much worse than rings, like maybe #3 piston gots a big hole in it if'n she smokes and fouls that bad.

do a compression test first. that'll give you a better idea of how bad it really is. but id deffinitely pull the head off it after its all said and done, and the oil pan, and the crankshaft possibly.

anyone here can walk you through any procedure you need.

may the force be with you

mike
