I'm hoping someone can help me out:
I believe there is an old Case 180 in my area for sale, was repainted at some point so it has no decals. Can someone give me any info on these:
Years made, engine size and make, tire size, location of model and serial number tag, etc.
Thanks in advance,

Mike

Not sure of the years maybe 65 thru 68. Serial number should be on the right side of dash with model number, they were on a plate right under the light switch. Came with a Kohler K301S 12 hp,
had the tall rear tires 8.00-16 4.00-8 on the front. Good luck on getting it, they are getting harder to find. I live in north central Indiana where abouts are you located?.....Steve

Steve,
Thanks for the info, I live southeast of Flint, Michigan. Unfortunately, I have not seen the tractor for the last two days, I will be stopping in the next few to see if the owner still has it for sale. Harder to find may be an understatement as this is the only one I have ever seen. What would be a ballpark price for one of these in decent shape and how difficult is it to get replacement parts for the engine, drive train, etc?

Mike, I think I paid 400 dollars for mine, but then I bought a colt and got it for 250. The one you looked at may be a colt, Case bought the tractors from colt for about 2 years, then bought them out to have their own brand of garden tractors. As for finding parts, Case dealers sometimes can help, most of the stuff is universal parts or you can make them fit. I lost my e-mail addres for Jim Daenzer, he lives up your way, I think he was closer to Saginaw, but he is the expert on Case garden tractors. I was to his place once and was amazed at he amount of stuff he has. Best of luck to you, Steve
