The PTO shaft on my 630 Caseomatic doesn't disengage completely. It 'free-wheels' with enough force to spin a 6' bushhog when its raised up out of the grass. Also what is the correct oil for the rear end? Any ideas

The 630’s demise came early thus it never got the independent PTO; the early models had what most would consider a POOR design. I was informed from my CASE dealer that when these particular PTO’s were new they would sometimes spin. If you push down on the lever with your right foot it may stop.
Roger also told me that they have rebuilt these and most often they would still turn.

Depending on what you use your machine for and what type of conditions you’re in will determine what oil you’ll use Contact your local CASE IH dealer and go with what they are using

Thanks for your help, I was afraid it might be something like that. I was just hoping for some easy adjustment or quick fix.
