The Case steam traction engine was in excellent operating condition and sold for 16,000. The Sampson Sieve-grip was original, unrestored and one of three known to exist. The guys flooded it so it wouldn't start at sale time; it sold for 8,000. Fifteen minutes later it fired up and ran.

I didn't look at the serial no. plate but it was listed as a 65 H.P. This is an excellent working and looking piece of equipment and the man who bought it got a great buy! It needed no work at all and was show ready.

You really know how to make a guy feel bad wish I could have been there, but I already own two of them so I don't know what I would do with another, I saw a 50hp in canada on the 21st sell but don't know what that brought either, that one did not have a canopy. you are right he did get a good buy as there must not have been very good advertising, disappointed I missed that one. I hope you are going to miss the big storm we don't need any more property damage this way either. You will have to be our offical Missouri auction spotter for Case equipment, that is, at least the ones your not interested in ;0) I like to find out the serial numbers and where they are going lots of tractors leaving the U.S. I try to keep track of them. I hate to see them leave, that is our grandfathers history. I wonder if they will give us our jobs back in trade!
