I bought a stuck 600 a liitle over a year ago. I'm trying to find parts so I can start in on it, but I am baffled on sleeve sets. In one of the
recent issues of "Old Abe's News" there was an article about a family back in Pennsylvania that
has recently restored a 600. One of the photos
shows boxes for Clevite sleeve sets. However, when I go to the Clevite web site, I cannot come
up with the 600. What was the engine model, maybe that will help me. I did just check the Case parts books for 500, 600, & 900 and all of them use the same part number, but nothing in the Clevite online listing that I can make sense of.

Joel,

I have a case 500 which has basically the same motor as the 600. Both are 377 cubic inches, 4" bore with a 5" stroke. So few of these motors are in use that few companies are making sleeves and pistons for them. You may have to take the block to a machine shop and have them machine out the sleeve bores to accept the sleeves from the 930 which has 4 1/8" pistons. It will then have 401 cubic inches. Those sleeves and pistons should be available from TRW. Good luck,

Tom,
We had the block machined to fit those sleeves. I got the sleeves from King tractor in Kirkwood PA. He advertises in Old Abe news. Stock sleeves and pistons were supposedly available from case through our dealer but they cost $1900 a for the set of six. The clevite sleeves fit a 930 and are 4.25 for 425 cu.Inch. The case dealer could not find clevite sleeves for a 600,900 or 930 in his book. Good luck. Now if I can just get my fuel pump to work right we'll be in buisness. Trying to get a good used or rebuilt head and rotor this week the rest of the pump is in good shape. ,Joel
