Thanks to all that helped make the 47th annual Almelund Threshing Show a great success. This year's record breaking crowd was treated to great weather (except 4:30-5:30pm Sun.), wonderful activities and displays. I even parked the Weston Link Spirit of '76 right up on the lawn by the flowers for that great Kodak moment. I hope the restorer from Michigan that called me wondering if there might be some late DC fenders to buy came. Don L had two pair, the best I've seen in years, sold both pairs within 30 seconds of each other. Special thanks to Don for leaving that nice crossmotor behind.(or are you coming back for it?) Most of all I would like to thank Dr.Cy and Mike for coming, was great to meet you guys, Terry and Norris too. Bruce Nelson, survivor, Almelund Threshing Show, day 9, signing out for now. (Caravan Aug.3 was when it all really got going for me). THANKS ALL

A great show, I thought I died and went to tractor heaven! After seeing all those restored Case tractors, I might have to restore, {and retire}, the 56 311. Will be there next year,,,,, , Bernsy

And thank you fellows for a great show. We really appreciate you looking out for our 300's after we left without our truck and tractors. That damn Chevy let me down again, but the boys at the Ford garage in Forest Lake assured me that dad would be on his way to pick them up by noon on Tuesday. We were impressed...and we will be back. Not once was I razzed about the Packers. Thanks again, JR from Wisconsin.

My wife and I really had a great time at the almelund show and thinking about making plans of returning next year. It was very enjoyable to meet new Case friends especially the one's we have been chating with on the forum. The banquet was fun and the food was good (especially the dessert ha! ha!).... We are enjoying the center piece we won as a door prize. Many thanks to a great job done!!!

Thanks to all the crew at Almelund. What a large turnout of Case tractors they did have. One thing that really impressed me was all the young folks that were there, and active in the group. That is hard to find that at any show that I ever been too. Great to put a face to a name or handle from all the folks ALL over the USA. Sorry [kinda] that I was so darn busy not to visit , besides a modest hello. I sold 4 times the amount I thought I would do. Busier than a one legged man ina ass/kickin contest. Bruce... the truck will pick up the 25/45 Tues or Weds evening , bout 6 pm. Hope it will be open. Or sell it, and you can keep anything after $40,000. GREAT SHOWS TAKE GREAT PEOPLE,....
Don L.

I made enough profit to pay the trucker both trips and my 3 nites hotel and misc and beer fund. Had a dark beer I never heard of, on tap I think it was called Red Hook. It was real gooood. Now listen, I was sittin in my chair, [and the wife was a workin hard], and a man with a name tag sits right down besides me. Tags say your full first and last name. Man ...I talked fer 2 min. and he just looked at me. And it wasn't you lookin at me,../!. You have a CASE double at MT. Pulaski IL., And "he" is havin the Case Winter Conv. at Springfield IL.. What are "you" havin?

No Sir... thank YOU, Bruce. I appreciate your hospitality and friendliness. It's obvious you put a LOT of work into that show. I just wish we could have found you again to say goodbye before we had to hit the road.

I was half tempted to drive that DI home!

Mike, as soon as Uncle Roger plays the national anthem (I hold the mike for him, and get him started) I am off to the tractor pull area where I am the track announcer/commentator. Sat. eve. I was off to the JICCA banquet at the Shafer town hall, 500yds, SE of the main gate and across the highway. Come on back some day. Bruce
