1370 power shift overhaul

Hi there...we have a 1370 that has problems in the power shift. As a minimum, C2 and/or C3 clutches are leaking, as there is a noticeable difference in the pressures in high gear. I am also told that the bolts holding that part of the power shift have a tendency to shear the heads off.

Anyone done a power shift recently? How much are the new clutches, seals, etc? I'm assuming we'll replace all the clutches, seals, and bearings, along with replacing the 3/8" bolts (that tend to break) with 7/16" diameter bolts.

We had a 1270 shear off the bolts just last year. It cost us just over $3000 for parts and labor. Now this included a rebuilt 94 series clutch pack which I beleive allows for 1/2" bolts. I have been told the 70 series only allowed for 7/16" which will most definately work but while we had her apart and the 94 clutch pack was available we put her in. If you did it yourself and replaced everything I suppose there would only be $1500 or less in parts. Good luck and becareful.

Mine was fixed about 13 years ago for $1500 Depends on how much you replace, since I ran mine in 3 on the range lever & 1 on the pwrshift, I didn't burn any clutch facings so some of that stuff didn't need replacing.
