Was plowing and started getting a vibration coming from the transmission. Now when I push in the clutch I get a grinding sound coming from the transmission. When the clutch is released the forward gears there is no sound, in reverse makes the same sounds when the clutch is engaged. Does anyone have any ideas?

A friend's 2670 did that. The center bearing in the planetery went bad. Cost him $4000 for the dealer to fix it.

Ralph; I was expecting someone with more knowledge about this than me to answer. But, they probably didn't want to be the bearer of bad news. Here it is. Very expensive. Sounds like the reverse planetary unit chewed up.

Thanks John for the info. I am in the process of tearing it down. Will know by tomorrow.
