I have had one for 33 years, never broke it apart, and it has lots and lots of hours and lives outside! Its a great tractor, wish mine had power steering! We use it for general purpose: move dirt, left tractor and combine tires, engines, grade the road, spray seeds, move snow, becuase of the two hydrolic hook ups we can move implements with it, (has a lot of road miles on it) and so on. Baled some hay with it once, did great! Always starts, always runs, lots of power. Had to put a external engine heater on it. Never had problems with parts. There are a few things to tinker with as it gets old, gauges, radiator, steering linkage and so on. Going to have to go through the brakes and hydrolic pump one of these days. Always wanted to move the hydrolic levers from under the seat to some place else, never did. It has a case loader on it, can't remember the model, always wanted to widen it! It would be really simple to do and add another hydrolic on the bucket, never did that either, works fine the way it is. I like that eagle hitch system, compared to the fords and JD. Putting on implments, I didn't have to get off the tractor unless it required the 3 point! Since I found this web sight, there are more parts and people that own them, know the tractor inside and out and parts available then I thought. Out west here there are very few 300's, 400's or old case equipment in general. Seems in the midwest and in the new england states their is a lot of case stuff looking at this site. I think the reason we don't see many back here is becuase of the large wheat farms we have. Up here in eastern washington the dominent implement dealer back then was AC and JD, now its JD and a little ford and MF. I found mine in 1973 on a JD lot in southeaster WA paid $600.00 and they delivered it to me 250 miles away. Good luck with your 311.
