Can a decompression valve head be used in place of a standard head??? 1967 930 CK Diesel A401

Also, steering will on work with power assist to the left, when steering comes back to center there is no assist to the right. Thanks in advance!

The heads do interchange. You will have to make a plate to cover the hole in the head though. As for the steering; Do you have a row crop tractor, or a std. tractor with the steering cyl. beside the engine? Depending which tractor you have it could be a valve stuck, or in need of adjustment. I've never been into the PS on a row crop tractor so I'm not much help. I carry saddle tanks and lots of weight on my 930. The power steering was not quite up to the weight and kept getting worse. I mounted the PS off a 960 combine on my 930 and now it steers with one finger with 400 gal in the tanks. If you start another post about PS trouble someone should be able to help you out. Good Luck
