I just bought a case dc 1950. There is a whitish oil or greese coming from the rightside of the tractor, when you are sitting on the seat.when you look at it from the side it's towards the front of the clutch brake(round cylinder with pad that stops cylinder when you pull back on the clutch.) Does anyone know what this would be. Also what type of transmissin fluid and hydralic fluid should I use or are they the same. Where do you check the trans. fluid and add the fluid.I know where to add the hydrolic fluid. Is this the same place to add trans. fliud?
If someone could help me it would be a big help.
Thanks

The hydraulics and the transaxle were separate on the DC I was around. The tranaxles gets 90 wt. The hydraulics get a motor oil, SA. My guess is that white stuff is water mixed with grease. The water came from rain going by the gear shift. The reason it is running out is the water has overfilled the case, no pun intended. Drain the transaxle and start over with new grease. Later.

Just changed all the fluids on my '49 DC today. Drain for the trans is large (1 1/8") plug toward back from the crankcase drain and behind the clutch housing drain. The crankcase drain will be sticking straight out of the right side of the tractor. Put a large bucket between the tractor and tire and be prepared to empty it a few times (42qt capacity). The fill port is above the hydraulic valve on the back left of the tractor. There's two ports, the trans is the larger one toward the front, the other is for the hydraulics. The full mark (port) is on the right rear of the tractor below the seat, small plug, you'll have to look close. Have fun.
