I don't have the rear tires off my '54 SC yet. Does anyone know how wide factory rims are? Tire size production has changed. What size rear tires should I put on to be factory? Thanks, Kurt

Thats the right size Mike. I just three weeks ago put 12.4/38 (Kelly) tires on my 1947 S C Case. Cost was $179.00 x 2. I put new tubes in to at $26.50 x 2. Thay look more like the original tire. Elliott from ILL

Found my receipt - I guess I did O.K. The 11.2/38s are Firestone (wrong tread angle like Mike's - hard to find the old tread style up here) and they were $180.00 each. The total project was $642.50 (I was close) on 4/28/00.

That is a good price. I gave $632 for 11.2/38s and new 15" fronts in 2000. I have to look but I think they are Firestone Field & Road. That price did include on-site installation.

Kurt,

I believe that SC's have 9" wide 38" rims. The original tire could either be a 10-38 or an 11-38.

I put 12.4X38 Firestone Field and Road tires on my '49 SC, but I messed up and got the wrong lug angle so it doesn't look like the original tires.
