I have a 211-B case with a negative ground 6 volt
system I want to install a 12 volt alternator in place of the 6 volt generator.I will change all other things to 12 volt as needed. What do I do about the negative ground? The alternator is a positive.
syatem.Do i just change the battery cable positions?

i have a 211-b i did what you are doing & you are correct but you will have to switch the primary wires on the coil. the small wires that go to the coil the wire that goes to the distributor should be the - or neg terminal. i used a one wire alt. & my old pulley i had to grind the hub to shorten it for the alt. other than brackets it works real good. if you have any trouble get on this sight i will try to help.
