I can't remember if it in the owners manual or Nebraska tests, but the 1030 is rated at 101.3 if I correctly recall, I can't find my owners manual, so can't look it up. I think it is a very conservative figure as I've been in the field along side of other 100hp tractors and it will just run circles around them. I think it was made from 56 or 66 till 68 or 69, I don't think they made the 1030 as many years as the other "30" series tractors. Hope that this is of some help. By the way check the coolant every time you use it and fix any leaks immediatly, they are very suseptable to cracked head if the coolant gets a little low, they also use water I have never figured out where it goes but it just gradually goes down. My dad had a 830 and it did the same thing, (same engine just 2 less cylinders). Jerrie Lott

Case has a retrofit fan available for the 1030 which allows it to run alot cooler. I bought my 1030 in 1976 and was my big tractor a the time. Now I use it for utility work only.

That might help some but it is not the heat that cracks thew heads it isbeing the least little bit low on water. The owners manual states that it is safe to run the tractor at 240 degrees as long you have a 15# pressure cap on the radiator. Mine uses water even in the winter time when it never gets above 180 degrees and I've went over it time and again there is no water in the crankcase and there are no leaks. I know a dealer that owned a CASE dealership in the sixties and seventies and he will tell you the same thing they use water. Not complaining, just stating the facts. Where else would you find a tractor that would pull a 10' chisel plow 8" deep all day long and still have 1/4 tank of fuel left in a 48 gallon tank?

The first 1030 was made 4/15/66 ser. 8292396
the last one was built May of 69
451 cid
102 HP on the pto
9,780 Lb's
this trully is a tractor that will out perform any other 100 hp class tractor.
